“You piece of shit.”
His tone wasn’t normal; it no longer held the bluntness that hardly attracted Erwin’s attention. Instead, it held strong hostility, causing the blond to arch a brow in both puzzlement and intrigue.
“--You’ve called me worse. But good morning to you, Levi.”
Feigned ignorance had done nothing for the commander’s benefit, the former soldier knowing very well the origin of the other’s anger. He wasn’t entirely sure how the captain would have reacted-- though they had known each other for a long while, neither of them could truly gauge each other’s responses to certain things.
To be furious in such a situation was not unreasonable; they had hid the truth from him. Shielded, one may have considered. However, he knew that the ally would never see it as such.
“Don’t pull the fucking bullshit,” he retorted, “I can’t imagine what sort of crap you’ve lied to me about.”
